Story About "Jaeyook Gui"

Jaeyook Gui + Doenjang Jjigae or Mul-Naengmyeon is one of our lunch special sets that includes a plate of Jaeyook Gui with your choice of either Doenjang Jjigae or Mul-Naengmyeon. Each set also comes with an assortment of our house banchans or Korean side dishes. Jaeyook Gui, which is grilled marinated pork belly strips, is a staple Korean barbecue dish, beloved for its spicy and fatty flavors. Both Doenjang Jjigae and Mul-naengmyeon compliment Jaeyook Gui really well, but in distinctly different ways. Mul-Naengmyeon is a cold buckwheat noodle soup with beef broth that is generally popular in the summertime, but for K-BBQ lovers, it remains a year around favorite selection as a lighter alternative to balance out the heartiness of Jaeyook Gui. Doenjang Jjigae is another classic pairing for barbecues. A soybean paste stew that is served with a bowl of rice, Doenjang Jjigae is reminiscent of Korean home cooking with every family having their own unique take on the recipe. It consists of a variety of ingredients like tofu, onions, zucchini, and potatoes that all come to a boil to make a beautifully flavorful stew.
